Hollow Harbor
★★★★★ 4.6
Hollow Harbor is a quiet, atmospheric adventure where you explore a fog-drenched town and slowly piece together why everyone left. The puzzles are mostly environmental, about noticing details and connecting objects, and none of them stumped me so long that I wanted to quit.
What carries it is the mood. The sound design is excellent, every creaking door and distant gull adds to the unease, and the hand-drawn backgrounds are gorgeous on a good screen. I played most of it in one long sitting with headphones, which is how it wants to be played.
It's a few hours long, not endless, and that felt right. A complete little story you finish and remember, rather than a bottomless time sink.
