Tidelock Command
Tidelock Command asks you to think like a harbor master and a tactician at once. You manage a fleet across a cluster of islands, balancing supply runs with the threat of raiders, and the real tension comes from deciding what to leave undefended. It's heavier than most mobile strategy games and better for it.
The interface took me a session to learn, but once it clicked I was drawing routes and setting ambushes with real satisfaction. Battles play out in a pausable real-time view, so you can slow down and reposition when things go sideways. I lost my whole opening fleet once and the comeback that followed was one of my favorite mobile moments this year.
It rewards patience and punishes greed, which I love. If you want something to chew on during a long evening rather than a quick five-minute fix, this is it.
